Theresa
In 2014, I completed an undergraduate degree in history at SUNY Oneonta. Following my graduation, I worked a few odd jods before settling in at Museum Village. After spending several years working as a docent, I decided that I wanted to try to find a job at a much larger museum. As of December 2017, I have been working as a tour guide at The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located on pier 86. So far, working at the Intrepid has been a really great experience. I have met some really interesting people and I have already learned so much.

In October of 2017, I finished the application process for Queens College. Even though I was hoping that I would be granted admission, I did not want to expect much. In November, I was informed that I had been accepted into the dual degree MLIS/MA program. Though I am apprehensive about the upcoming semester(s), I am excited to be pursuing studies that may lead to a future career as an archivist. The program may take a long time to complete, but I am hopeful this degree will be worth my effort.
