About Me

My name is Shannon Dalrymple and I'm a student in the MLIS program at Queens College. I am currently taking my core courses, one of which is 700 the Technology of Information. In this course I am learning how to use various information technologies to enhance my skill set and prepare to be a librarian in the 21st century. I have an undergraduate degree from Hunter College, where I majored in English Language Arts and minored in Political Science. I currently work in the Children's Department of my local library. I hope to be a public librarian one day!

  • I love to read, and try to read as often as I can. I set a goal to read 70 books this year, which I keep track of on my Goodreads Page
  • I love to spend time with my 90 lb lap dog, Sadie. She's the dumbest animal I've ever met and I love her with my entire heart.
  • I live about 15 minutes away from the beach, and love to take walks on the boardwalk (even in the winter! That's when it's the least crowded).
