I work in The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium. I train interns to image, barcode, transcribe, and georeference these collections. I help setup volunteers and select notable specimens.
I am enrolled in an MLS program at Queens College. I feel the topics of library and information studies are in line with my interests to preserve knowledge and serve the public.
When I am not working and going to classes, I answer questions and direct visitors at Astor Hall information desk in the NYPL Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Saturdays. I provide information about the history of the library and NYPL programming in its 89 branches.
