About me

I am a new student in the MLIS program at Queens College. I am currently taking my core courses, one of which is 700 The Technology of Information. In this course, I am enhancing my information technology skill set and preparing to be a librarian in the 21st century.

Prior to graduate school, I worked in marketing at a digital media startup, an established magazine and a boutique wine importer. In these positions, I did not create a website or a Wiki page. I am excited to be learning new things.

I live in Queens, New York with my husband and houseplants.

About this photo

This photo was taken by my sister while on a hike at the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico. New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment, which is a nickname that is quite well-deserved.

In 1940, the American artist Georgia O'Keeffe purchased the Ghost Ranch. It was her home and studio for decades. Many of her famous New Mexico paintings depict views from in and around the 21,000-acre retreat.

When my sister and I reached the summit of the Chimney Rock trail, we did a very short yoga practice and had a beautiful picnic. Our spread of cheese, nuts and quince paste literally matched the colors of the landscape. I am so grateful for this experience.

The ranch is a magical place and I hope to return some day.
