Hello, I'm Kate Marcus, a student in the MLIS Program at Queens College. I am currently taking my core courses, one of which is LBSCI 700 The Technology of Information. In this course I am learning how to use various information technologies to enhance my skill set and prepare to be a librarian in the 21st Century. I currently work in the Circulation Department at the New York Society Library and previously worked in the Education Department at the Museum of Modern Art.

In this class I will learn how to make a website with HTML. I will also learn how to create Wiki pages and use Social Media for the workplace.

In addition to LBSCI 700 I'm also taking

LBSCI 702 Information Sources and Service

Last semester I also took two courses

  • LBSCI 701 Fundamentals of Library and Information Science
  • LBSCI 703 Introduction to Organization of Information

Interests

One of my interests is dogs. While I don't have one, I'd love to hear about (and meet!) yours.

I also enjoy movies, some of my favorites are Clueless (1995), American Psycho (2000), and Heathers (1988).

I also enjoy music, and the last thing I listened to was the Classic Punk playlist on Spotify.
